چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: The prevalence of colorectal cancer (CRC) isincreasing, and early detection in low stages is very important. One of these markers is ۹-methylated septin, whose expressionlevel is related to different degrees of colorectal cancer. As aresult, in this review study, we tried to Investigating the expressionlevel of methylated septin ۹ gene in different grades ofcolorectal cancer.Method: The present study was a systematic review and synthesisof quantitative evidence. The primary keywords werepublished in reliable databases such as Pubmed, Google schoolar,Elsevier, Wiley in English were searched until the end of۲۰۲۲. Two authors independently examined the articles in termsof data extraction, inclusion criteria, and quality assessment ofthe articles, and the meta-aggregation method synthesized thefindings.Result: Our result on ۱۳ studies shows that total number of participantswith colon cancer was ۱,۹۴۳ ( ۵۷.۸ % male and ۴۲.۲ %Female) , and the average age of the patients was ۶۲.۷۵ years. The average Septin ۹ was positive ۶۵.۴ %. In Our study positivedetection rate overall, respectively for ۰ stage ۵۵.۱۴% , I stage۵۱.۲۱% ., II stage ۷۰.۳۷% , III stage ۶۴.۵۴% , IV stage ۹۹.۹۹%and for unknown ۶۷.۸۳% . The highest percentage based on differentstages of cancer was related to stage IV (۹۹.۹۹%) and thelowest was related to stage I cancer (۵۱.۲۱%) .Conclusion: The studies considered in this article show thatmethylated septin-۹ is a suitable biomarker for detecting colorectalcancer. Another important point is the relationship betweenthe expression level of septin-۹ and different degrees ofcolorectal cancer, so that in stage ۰ and ۱, the lowest level ofexpression and in the stage ۴ The highest level of expressionwas seen.
