Background: In this study, rGO/Ca۱-xMnxFe۲O۴ (۰Quercetin (Que).Materials and Methods: The ferrite nanoparticles (NPs) wereprepared by the thermal treatment method. The CSE was preparedby dissolving celery seed powder in deionized water andits purification steps were done with a simple method. Hummers'method was used for synthesizing GO nanosheets. Thehydrothermal method was used for anchoring NCs on GO nanosheets.The Que was loaded on NCs using precipitation. Thepercentage of drug loading (DL), ۱ mg of Que loaded with driedNCs is dissolved in acetone. Then, the Que amount is measuredby spectroscopy. The cytotoxicity of NCs is evaluated using theMTT method.Results: The FT-IR spectrum of NCs and Que-loaded on NCsshowed successful functionalization of the Que on the NCssurface. The Que drug loading study showed a good loadingefficiency of NCs and it may be due to the fewer structural defectsof NCs with more space for the guest molecules becauseof locating the NPs on the rGO nanosheets' surface. The capabilityof plant extracts for good oxidation of GO nanosheetscan widen the gap between GO nanosheets and thus increasethe entrapment of drug molecules physically to improve drugloading percentage. The amount of MCF-۷ cell destruction increasedbecause of the easy penetration of Que into the cancercells. In addition, the cell degradation of MCF-۷ cancer cellshad a direct relationship with increased Mn۲+ concentrations.The agglomeration of large particles in high concentrations ofNCs may reduce the absorption of NCs by cells and the rate ofdestruction of cancer cells.Conclusion: Therefore, according to the results, Que-loadedon rGO/Ca۱-xMnxFe۲O۴ NCs could increase significantly theanti-cancer activity of MCF-۷ cells and are suitable samples touse in the DDS.
