چکیده مقاله:

Years of effort in acute myeloid leukemia treatment throughchemotherapy and failure of appropriate response, along withsignificant improvement in solid tumor patients' clinical outcomesafter immunotherapy, has led more attention of researchersto investigate immunotherapy drugs in combination withchemotherapy to improve treatment Results: Recent clinicalresults of immunotherapy in acute myeloid leukemia patientsdemonstrate that although most patients do not respond to immunotherapy,it can induce a durable response in susceptiblepatients; however, treatment failure is not only due to tumorintrinsic factors but also because of the complex interactions ofmalignant cells and their microenvironment. In this article, we will describe two approaches of immunotherapy:the ones that induce direct modification of the tumor, andtreatments that indirectly enhances immunogenicity through alterationof the microenvironment.
