چکیده مقاله:

Background: Breast cancer is one of the most common cancersamong women all over the world and also in Iran. LncRNAsare a group of non-coding RNA molecules that play a role intumor development and metastasis in various cancers, includingbreast cancer. So far, several studies have been conductedon the biomarker role of these molecules in various cancers. Sofar, many researches have been conducted in the field of expressionchanges of different types of LncRNAs in breast cancer, but there is little information about the expression changes ofLINCADL. The purpose of this study was to investigate the expressionchanges of LINCADL in breast cancer and introduce itas a diagnostic biomarker.Materials and Methods: TCGA data provided by Oncodb databasewas used to investigate LINCADL expression changesin breast cancer. Also, based on the clinical data of TCGA, therelationship between the expression of this LncRNA and thetumor stage was investigated. Furthermore, the ROC curve wasused to check the biomarker status of LINCADL.Results: Our results showed that the expression level of LINCADLin cancer samples is significantly reduced compared tonormal samples (log FC= -۵.۲۶, FDR= ۰.۰۱, P-value=۲.۰e-۱۳).Also, the results of this study showed that the level of LINCADLLINCADLexpression in Stage IV tumor samples is significantlyreduced compared to other stages. In addition, the ROC diagramshowed that the decrease in LINCADL expression can beused as a diagnostic biomarker (AUC=۰.۹۳, P-value=<۰.۰۰۱).Conclusion: The results of our study showed that the level ofLINCADL is reduced in breast cancer and can be consideredas a diagnostic biomarker and perhaps as a prognostic marker.
