بررسی تاثیر مکمل یاری ویتامین B۱۲ بر خستگی بیماران همودیالیزی

Abstract Aims: Fatigueis afrequentsymptomin hemodialysis patients that impairs the quality of lifeand like painandfeverit isan importantbiologicalwarningfor human health. So far, despitethe manyinterventionsto reducefatiguein hemodialysis patients, still this phenomenon is reported with high prevalence. The aimof thisstudy was to determinethe effectof vitaminB ۱۲ supplementationon fatigueinpatientsundergoing hemodialysis . Methods : It was a semi experimental study with the method of before-after, which has been done on ۸۶ hemodialysis patients with a Purposivesampling method within ۳ months in ۲۰۱۱ in ۱ and ۲ chosen hospitals. The intervention was an intravenous injection of ۱۰۰mcg/ml of vitamin B ۱۲ afterdialysis process which has been done ۳ times a week, within ۲ months and by the end of the intervention in ordertoassess sustainability of theeffect ofvitaminB۱۲ there was no interventions for ۱ month. Fatigue measurementquestionnairewas completedbyparticipants and it was analyzed by using SPSS software and descriptive statistic tests, paired t-test and analysis-variance of the repetitive measures. Results: Fatigueafter a month ofinterfering (P=۰.۰۰۱)andwith further reductionafter twomonths (p=۰.۰۰۰۱)andone monthafterthe end of intervention (P=۰.۰۲۱) has been significantlyreduced. Conclusions: The resultsindicatethe effectiveness ofvitaminB۱۲on the reduction of fatigue in hemodialysis patients. Thus intravenous injection of ۱۰۰mcg/ml of Vitamin B۱۲ weekly after dialysis is recommended for HD patients.
