Contact Tracing during COVID-۱۹ pandemic Studied by Jiroft University of Medical Sciences: Southeast of Iran

Background and Objective: To control the spread of SARS-COV-۲ and intervention and feasible controlling the pandemic contact tracing is critical method. This is the key strategic for breaking the outbreak transmission and reducing the mortality of associated into the pandemic. The contact tracing is included, the processes of identifying, assessing and managing peoples who have exposed to SARS-COV-۲, and, prevention covid-۱۹ onward transmission.Materials and Methods: This longitudinal study was started from the during ۲۰ February ۲۰۲۰ to ۲۲ October ۲۰۲۰. We report contacts of ۴۵۰۰ coronavirus disease (COVID-۱۹) index patients reported in different areas of Jiroft city (City of province of Kerman) and All the data from contacts tracing were analyzed.Findings: result demonstrated the widespread of transmission of SARS-COV-۲ and guide the public health response. The most of the contacts are related to no household contacts and most of the no household contacts are related to contacts with colleagues and friends.Conclusions: most of the contacts are related to no household contacts and most of the no household contacts are related to contacts with colleagues and friends. Personal hygiene, social distancing, and use of face mask are of great importance in reducing the disease morbidity and also mortality and public awareness about COVID-۱۹ should be increased.
