چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: Health literacy of mothers during pregnancy is a sign of social and cognitive skills that shows their motivation and ability to receive and use useful information.Aim of research: The purpose of this study was to investigate Relationship between health literacy of pregnant mothers with prenatal care and its outcome.Materials and Methods: To conduct this research, a systematic of descriptive observational studies by review was conducted searching databases, PubMed, Iran-Medex, SID and Google Scholar up to ۲۰۲۳, using the related keywords. The quality of the extracted articles was evaluated based on the STORBE checklist of contents and finally ۲۶ articles were analyzed.Results: Studies showing a significant relationship between mothers' health literacy and education level, place of residence, monthly household income, number of pregnancies, time of starting care, number of care performed during pregnancy, birth weight of the baby, use of supplements and anemia. Also, there was a significant positive relationship between health literacy and pregnancy outcome.Conclusion: According to the results of the studies, it shows the need to pay more attention to maternal health literacy in health promotion programs.
