Technical and economic delays causes assessment in construction projects in Iran's government centers from the perspective of the employer, consultant, contractor along with providing solutions to resolve these factors

In construction contracts, time is the fundamental principle of the project. Over the past decades, construction delays have been considered a global challenge and have plagued the construction industry worldwide, causing time delays, cost increases, and poor quality in construction projects. This problem is the most common, costly and risky problem in private and public construction projects. Since delays in construction projects lead to spending the country's resources, reducing profits and losing opportunities, it is very important to know the causes of delays. In order to check the normal distribution using the Kolmogorov- Smirnov test, it was shown that the significance level of the research variables is above .۰.۲ , so the distribution of the variables is normal and parametric tests can be used. According to the normality of the research variables, the research objectives were investigated with the Friedman test in SPSS software. The results showed that in order to prioritize the factors influencing delays in Iranian government construction projects, the significance level of the Friedman test was obtained for the ranking of .۰..۰, which means that the null hypothesis is rejected and the repeated measurements on the components are different. The results of this prioritization showed that external, project, equipment, environment, consultant, contractor, workforce, employer, plan and materials are important.
