چکیده مقاله:

The Pinch Design Method is studied and applied to an existing heat exchanger network. A developed computer programme including, among other things, a subroutine for the analysis of power system installations have been applied. The integration of turbo-diesel driven heat pumps into the optimum grassroots design is studied. The results indicate that the existing network consumes ۳۲% more energy than the corresponding grassroots design and by integrating the heat pump into the optimum heat exchanger network, the energy reduction could be increased upto ۳۶% compared with the current energy consumption of the existing network.
