چکیده مقاله:
The main practical interest in the numerical approach arises from its potential application to low-speed separated flow problems. The purpose of this study is to analyze the flow of laminar, two-dimensional, incompressible, steady viscous through the restriction of a spool valve. For the purpose of comparison the Numerical and experimental values of flow from the same kind are being utilized. The experimental values which are obtained by authors from the combination of computer aided design (CAD) simulation with image processing technique were considered. Good agreement between the analytical and numerical simulation as well as experimental results is obtained. Taking free surfaces as a streamline coordinate curve, a numerical solution can be achieved and hence forces exerted on the solid bodies of the valve can be estimated. For the present study the flow inside the channel is solved applying Hamel's method in convergent channel. A streamline coordinates system is adopted for governing equations. For the velocity distribution across the jet a Fourier expansion series is being adopted.
