چکیده مقاله:

The separation of crude oil components is a critical process in the petroleum industry, as it determines the quality and value of the final products. Conventional methods employed for this purpose have certain limitations and face challenges such as high energy consumption, time-consuming procedures, and environmental concerns. As a result, researchers and engineers have started exploring alternative approaches that can offer more sustainable and efficient solutions. One such promising method is the use of bacteria in the separation of crude oil components. This article presents an in-depth review of the recent advancements and applications of bacteria in crude oil separation. The study highlights the diverse capabilities of bacterial strains in degrading and transforming various hydrocarbon compounds found in crude oil. The role of bacteria in this process is elucidated, including their ability to produce biosurfactants and enzymes that aid in emulsification, dispersion, and degradation of hydrocarbons. Moreover, their potential in assisting the removal of heavy metals often present in crude oil is also discussed. The article further explores the mechanisms by which bacteria interact with crude oil components, including the formation of biofilms and bioemulsions. Additionally, the challenges and limitations faced in implementing bacteria-based separation techniques, such as the need for genetic engineering and the potential release of genetically modified organisms into the environment, are thoroughly examined. In conclusion, the use of bacteria in the separation of crude oil components holds significant promise as an innovative and sustainable approach. The extensive review presented in this article provides valuable insights into the current state of research and highlights future prospects for utilizing bacteria in the petroleum industry. Given the potential advantages, further research and development efforts should focus on addressing the challenges associated with implementing this technique, ensuring its safety and effectiveness in commercial applications.
