The aim of the research was the effectiveness of teaching mental resilience and life skills on illogical beliefs, tolerance of failure and feelings of loneliness among Azad University students in Shiraz. The statistical population of the research was the students of Shiraz branch of Azad University, from which ۵۴ people were selected by random cluster sampling and were randomly assigned to two experimental groups and one control group (۱۸ people in each group). Both experimental groups were treated during ۱۰ sessions of ۷۰ minutes. Before starting the treatment, a pre-test was taken by Harrington's (۲۰۰۵) failure tolerance questionnaire, Jones' (۱۹۶۹) illogical beliefs, and Russell's (۱۹۸۰) feeling of loneliness, and at the end of the treatment, the post-test was administered immediately. It should be noted that the control group did not receive any intervention. The results of multivariate covariance analysis showed that the training of psychological resilience and life skills had an effect on irrational beliefs, tolerance of failure and feelings of loneliness among the students of Shiraz Azad University. The results showed that resilience training was more effective on students' illogical beliefs, tolerance of failure and feelings of loneliness.
