Comparing the Effectiveness of Lazarus Multimodal Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy on Sleep Disorders and Mood Disorders in Taxi Drivers in Shiraz City

The present study aimed to compare the effectiveness of Lazarus Multimodal Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy on sleep disorders and mood disorders in taxi drivers in Shiraz city. The statistical population of the study included all taxi drivers in Shiraz city in ۱۴۰۲, of whom ۴۵ people were selected using purposeful sampling method and randomly assigned to two experimental groups and one control group (۱۵ people in each group). The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and Temperament Evaluation of Memphis, Pisa, Paris and San Diego Auto questionnaire (TEMPS-A) questionnaires were used to collect information. The research design was a quasi-experimental pre-test-post-test design with a control group and follow-up phase. The experimental groups underwent Lazarus Multimodal Therapy (۱۰ sessions of ۹۰minutes) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (۱۰ sessions of ۹۰ minutes), and a follow-up was conducted after three months. The data were analyzed using covariance analysis test. The results showed that both Lazarus Multimodal Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy were effective in improving sleep disorders and mood disorders in taxi drivers in Shiraz city (P <۰.۰۰۱). The results of the analysis also showed that Lazarus Multimodal Therapy had a greater impact than Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in improving sleep disorders and mood disorders.
