Numerical Investigation of The Effect of Cut and Fill Mining on The Surrounded Rock Mass Behavior

Underground mining is considered as a sensitive method because of its stability challenges. There are lots of consequences related with underground mining. So, adopting an optimized method to operate mining safely is of high importance. In this project, the effect of cut and fill mining method on the surrounding rock mass was studied numerically. To do so, the RS۲ and FLAC ۲D software were adopted for studies. The investigations were done considering the depth of mining to be ۲۵۰, ۵۰۰, ۱۰۰۰, and ۱۵۰۰ m. According to the results, the outputs of the both software correlate in lower depths.
