Benzene chlorination and investigating the effect of chlorine gas injection time into the reactor

Chlorobenzenes are widely used in chemical reactions as precursor for manufacture of chemicals, pigments, pesticide or solvents for oil, wax, resin, rubber. They are prepared in various methods, liquid phase or gas phase. The gas phase is less common in industry due to its high temperature and low efficiency because it makes the reaction uncontrollable and leads to higher chlorobenzeneIn this research, various processes of chlorination of benzene are investigated and then by choosing the appropriate process, experimental studies are carried out on it. The effect of chlorine gas injection time with constant mass flow on chlorination products was investigated and it was observed that with increasing chlorine gas injection time, benzene conversion and reaction efficiency increase.
