Parasitic nematodes present a major cause of economic loss that impacts the sheep industry worldwide. The collection of scientific data from different regions and the introduction of reliable diagnostic methods can provide the instruments for control especially now when the situation is complicated by the increased prevalence and development of anthelmintic resistance. This study aims to pay attention to the fecal egg count (FEC) of ewes from the Southern part of Bulgaria and try to correlate results to FAMACHA scoring in the context of naturally occurring mixed-type gastrointestinal nematode infection.Parasitic nematodes present a major cause of economic loss that impacts the sheep industry worldwide.
