چکیده مقاله:
This paper presents the basic principle of OPC technology and explains how to program a Linux device in Python to connect it to an industrial controller. Fortunately, due to OPC UA capabilities, we can now connect different operating systems to industrial automation controllers, which directly answers to Industry ۴.۰ demands. I chose Linux computers because they are highly accessible and low cost and can be placed in marshal cabinets near the controllers. Through this method, we can add machine learning advantages to the industrial controllers which are mostly without this ability especially those that are installed in the distant past. We begin by introducing the basic principles of OPC UA and its capabilities for integrating different operating systems with automation controllers. We then explain the advantages of using Linux devices for this purpose and after investigating the available Industrial controllers, we suggest the best way of integrating via OPC UA comprehensively.
