Comparison of marital conflicts before and after COVID among couples in Karaj

The aim of this study was to compare marital conflicts before and after COVID among couples in the city of Karaj. The statistical population of this research included all couples with marital conflicts referring to counseling centers in Karaj in the year ۲۰۲۲, who had been married for more than ۵ years. The sample of this research included ۸۰ individuals selected randomly from the statistical population based on Morgan's table. The Conflict in Marriage Questionnaire (Sanai, Barati, & Boostani-Pour, ۲۰۰۸) was used to collect the data for this research. The independent t-test was used for data analysis. The results of this test showed a significant difference in marital conflicts before and after the COVID pandemic with ۹۹% confidence. The level of marital conflicts among couples has increased after the spread of the COVID-۱۹ disease, so it can be concluded that the spread of the COVID-۱۹ disease has led to an increase in marital conflicts among couples.
