چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: Unwanted pregnancy is known in the world as a high-risk pregnancy that can cause irreparabledamage to the health of the mother and baby. Therefore, this study was designed with the aim of investigatingthe neonatal outcomes related to unwanted pregnancy.Methods: The present study is a review study that was written in ۲۰۲۲. Medline/PubMed, Google Scholar, andWeb of Sciences databases were used to search for related articles. In the first stage, a total of ۶۸ articles werefound, after applying the entry and exit criteria, this number was reduced to ۵۱. The inclusion criteria included:the article being Latin and the availability of the full text, and the exclusion criteria included: case report studies.Results: The review of various studies showed that many risk factors such as stress and mental pressure, desireto commit suicide, abortion, delay in prenatal care, improper nutrition, risk of gestational diabetes, anemia,overweight threaten women with unwanted pregnancy. All these factors can affect the baby's growth indicatorssuch as height, weight, head circumference. In addition, unwanted pregnancy causes problems such aspremature birth, increased infant mortality, malnutrition, and mental illnesses in infants. Based on other studies,it was found that babies born during unwanted pregnancies have a lower Apgar score.Conclusion: Generally, the examination of various results showed that unwanted pregnancy has adverse effectson the health of babies, so it is suggested to increase the quality of family planning services in health centersand at the high school level, and provide continuous and correct training in the field of using contraceptivessuch as Pills, condoms, more activity.
