Oral Contraceptivesares one of the mostcommon ways to prevent pregnancy, which seem to be risk factors for vascular thrombosis. Medline/PubMed, Google Scholar, andWeb of Sciences databases were used to search for related articles. In the first stage, a total of ۳۲ articles werefound, after applying the entry and exit criteria, this number was reduced to ۱۸. The inclusion criteria included:the article being Latin and the availability of the full text, and the exclusion criteria included: case report studies. Results: A review of different studies showed that in women who used first and second generationcontraceptives, compared to women who used third generation contraceptives, the risk of vascular thrombosisby increasing LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) and as a result the risk of MI increased significantly. Also, according to some studies, it has been determined that the use of oral contraceptive, which are a combination ofsecond and third generation pills, have fewer cardiovascular complications. This is while limited studies haverejected the existence of this relationship. Conclusion: Generally, first and second generation oral contraceptive increase the risk of MI. Therefore, beforeprescribing oral contraceptive, doctors should screen women for risk factors for cardiovascular complications. So women who are exposed to cardiovascular risks can use safer alternatives
