چکیده مقاله:

Machining of alumina due to brittles and low fracture toughness with conventional methods is verytime-consuming and laborious. This current experience obviously paved investigation of extensivefeasibility drilled holes on alumina surface of samples using quasi--pulse CO۲ laser in the presence ofcompressed air. In this study laser percussion drilling method was used to formation hole on the aluminasurfaces. The crack and holes diameter on the surfaces was examined using the scanning electronmicroscopy (SEM). According the result of this project demanded, a circular drilled hole of ۱mmdiameter was successfully controlled using quasi-pulse CO۲ laser machining of alumina surface in theshortest time compared to other methods
