چکیده مقاله:

Preserving and restoring heritage sites often necessitates the integration of additional structures to accommodate modern needs and enhance their cultural value. This article explores contemporary approaches to attaching new structures to heritage buildings and methods for strengthening the existing structures. By focusing on the ways to reinforce old buildings, this research aims to provide insights and guidelines for architects, engineers, and preservationists engaged in heritage conservation. When adding structures to heritage buildings, it is crucial to ensure a harmonious integration that respects the historical significance and architectural integrity of the site. The article examines various attachment techniques, including load-bearing connections, non-destructive anchoring systems, and innovative structural solutions that minimize visual impact and preserve the original fabric of the building. Furthermore, the article explores methods to strengthen old buildings to accommodate the additional load imposed by the new structures. Strengthening techniques such as steel reinforcement, carbon fiber wrapping, and the use of composite materials are investigated, emphasizing their effectiveness in enhancing the structural integrity of heritage buildings without compromising their authenticity. Challenges associated with attaching structures to old buildings are discussed, including the need for meticulous planning, close collaboration between architects and engineers, and compliance with preservation guidelines. The article emphasizes the importance of maintaining a balance between the preservation of heritage and the introduction of contemporary interventions. In conclusion, the article highlights that attaching additional structures to heritage buildings requires a multidisciplinary approach and a deep understanding of both the historical significance and the structural behavior of the building. By employing suitable attachment techniques and strengthening methods, heritage buildings can accommodate new functional spaces while preserving their architectural heritage. This research contributes to the knowledge in heritage conservation, serving as a valuable resource for professionals engaged in the preservation and adaptive reuse of historic structures.
