This article presents a comprehensive review of the advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and cyber security standards for smart grids and their implications for cyber-physical systems. By conducting a systematic literature review, this study identifies key trends, themes, and gaps in the existing research. The analysis reveals that AI and big data have the potential to significantly enhance the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of smart grids. However, the integration of these technologies also raises concerns about potential risks and vulnerabilities in terms of cyber security and privacy. The article emphasizes the importance of strengthening cyber security standards and addressing the ethical implications of AI and big data in the context of smart grids. The review concludes with recommendations for future research and practice in the field, including the need for interdisciplinary research, robust regulatory frameworks, and collaboration between academia, industry, and policymakers.
