چکیده مقاله:

In- situ shear waves is being used widely in geotechnical engineering in recent years. Traditional methods are expensive and are not suitable for urbanized places. Surface wave dispersion methods have less limitation than body wave analysis which needs drilling and are time consuming. Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves (MASW) technique is used to investigate site characterization in offshore, coastal and urban sites. In the absence of site specific shear velocity information, shear wave can be calculated using emprical correlation between other test methods such as standard penetration test (SPT).In this paper, liquefaction assessment measure is described and a shear wave velocity based technique investigating liquefaction potential sites is studied. Also, a review of published correlation between shear wave velocity and SPT and cone penetration test (CPT) is presented
