The Impact of Environmental Element on the Mental Map Case Study: Shahzade Garden

Designer as a person who deals with palace anatomy first directs his attention to external factors that exert an influence on observer and images are then formed in mind. Every one creates the images that he himself forms of the environment. However, it seems that there is a great deal of similarities between individuals of the same groups. These similar and common images which result from an individuals’ agreement on the importance of a specific image are what attract a planner’s attention. Now the question is how an architect can access to these common images and what common elements constitute these images.This study aims to develop a method to elicit individuals’ cognitive images, to analyze them and find those main effective elements which remain in memories. Research method is field. Image questionnaire will be developed. The findings analyzed and compared accordingly. Finally attempt made to develop the anatomical criteria which influence upon mental image.
