AERIAL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS WITH PLASTIC INSULATION

Aerial bundled cable systems (ABC- systems) are used in low and medium voltge distribution networks. AMKA- system in low voltage and SAXKA-system in medium voltage. In these systems overhead cables are twisted around a support wire. Standardized cables, accessoriesand tools form a complete system for power distribution. The SAX system is a medium voltage overhead system which uses plastic covered conductors. This system saves space and reduces disturbances due to XLPE covering. As a result of the covering it has also been possible to reduce the distance between phase conductors.
