The effect of good governance on economic growth in oil countries in the MENA

This study is focused on the effect of good governance on eeconomic growth inthe number of oil producing countries of MENA (Alger ia, Egypt, Iran, Syria,Tunisia, United Arabic Emirates and Yemen) during 1996-2010. The usedmethod is panel data also was used of cross section data for examining. Basedon the results of the investigation also estimat ion of the model we concludedthat oil revenues have a negative effect on economic growth also democracy hasa significant and posit ive effect on the economic growth. So with increasing ofpublic participat ion the economic growth will increase in these countries.Indicators of good governance have a signif icant and positive effect on theeconomic growth, which with improvement of the institutions then theeconomic growth will also increase. Economic freedom has not significantimpact on the economic growth in these countries
