چکیده مقاله:

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a novel paradigm that will get a very good position in the scenario of modern wireless telecommunications. Key components of the IoT will be RFID systems. Since, the computing power and resource of RFID tags are expected to remain extremely limited to reduce the cost of RFID implementation, the RFID protocol designers cannot depend on the traditional cryptographic algorithms to protect the system. Thus many lightweight authentication protocols have been proposed such as HB, HB#, KB-MP+, etc.Although, HB# protocol solves many problems of HB family protocols but this protocol is vulnerable to Man In the Middle(MIM) attack. In addition HB# only provides authentication of tag for reader and mutual authentication is not described. Also, in this protocol tracking and unwanted recognition of tags is possible.Based on our knowledge, there are no MIM attacks against HB-MP+ still. But, high overhead of using one way function makes it inefficient in RFID technology. In this paper we combine advantages of HB# and HB-MP+ protocols and propose a secure protocol that fixes practical problems of HB# and HB-MP+. In addition this protocol provides mutual authentication, prevents unwanted recognition, prevents MIM attack and satisfies main security goals that needed for RFID system.
