Active Control of Dynamic Response of SmartSandwich Beam with Soft Core

The purpose of this thesis is analytical study of control of sandwich beam's linear vibration having flexible core and equipped with piezoelectric patch. It may be that the effects of external forces imposed on sandwich beam bereached to a minimum value by designing appropriate controller and control the beam's vibration. Three-layer wise theory is used for analytical study of vibration of sandwich beam. Classical theory is used for face-sheets and linearpolynomial displacement field theory is used for core and controller theorem using Linear Quadratic Regulator method. Governing equations of vibration are obtained using Hamilton’s principle and Galerkin’s method.
