Novel Structure for Trans-CHB Multilevel Inverter Based on Extended Boost Quasi Z-Source for

Nowadays, photovoltaic power systems are widely accepted due to the worldwide energy shortage. This paper proposes a new topology for Trans-Cascade H-Bridge Multilevel Inverter (TCHB-MLI) based on Extended Boost Quasi Z-Source (EBQZS) which can change output voltage in a wide range,usable in photovoltaic systems (PV). In other words, output voltage amplitude is not limited to DC voltage source. Proposed topology consists,solitary DC source and EBQZS, therefore, itis more reliable against short circuitand also ithas small size compared to the typical CHBMLI in which several DC voltage sources is appliedThis topology uses a shoot-through control switchingto adjust output voltage. The proposed topology is simulated by the SIMULINK/MATLABand the results explain the performance of the topology.
