چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: High arterial blood pressure can be considered as an important public health problem which is a threat for developed countries. The aim of this research is conduction six weeks aerobic exercise and its impact on systolic blood pressure among 8-11 years old boys who had Hypertension. Materials and Methods: To reach this goal, 20 people who had systolic hypertension were selected randomly at a school in Ayvan west city. They were divided into experimental (n=10)and control (n=10) groups. The control group didn’t exercise during period of studying. Theexperimental group had the intensive aerobic activity that was running and its intensity rangesfrom 60 to 70 percent of maximum heart rate for six weeks.participants exercised sessions perweek on even days. Systolic blood pressure before and after 6 weeks of aerobic exercise both groups were measured. Results and Discussions: Theyhad a significant difference (P=0.001) between the results of pre-test and post-test in experimental group, however, there was no significant difference(P=0.273) between the result of pre-test and post-test in control groups. Comparison between amount of systolic blood pressure of experimental and control groups in pre-test showed no significant difference (P=0.237),between the two groups. This means that the two groups arethe same. Also comparing mean of systolic blood pressure in post-test indicatedthat there was significant differences (P=0.001) between the two groups, this suggest effect of aerobic exercise in experimental group. Conclusion: The results showed that 6 weeks selective aerobic exercise of running withintensity of 60% to70% of maximum heart had a significant impact on systolic blood pressureamong 8 to 11 years old boys with hypertension. Also these exercises are effective ways in controlling, reducing, and improving amount of systolic blood pressure among people with hypertension.
