چکیده مقاله:

A one dimensional model was developed for simulating unsteady flow, such as dam break flow, and flood routing over mobile alluvium. The model is based on the Runge Kutta method and finite-difference method. This scheme is forth-order accurate in space and second-order accurate in time, and allows simultaneous solution of the water and sediment equations, thereby obviating the need for iterations. The mathematical model presented here is applied to predict bed level changes due to sediment overloading. The computed results are compared with the available experimental data obtained on laboratory flumes. The agreement between the computed and experimental results is satisfactory
