چکیده مقاله:
This research is a review of studies on the impact of nano technology on the properties of hardened cement paste. In fact the term nanotechnology offers very much elaborate meaning and vast scope that may be changed from field to field. Nanotechnology helps in producing materials with prospective properties, for each field of science (physics, chemistry, bio-science as well as construction materials). Some researchers have employed nanoparticles into cementitious materials based on ordinary Portland cement to modify the properties of this system. Nanosized materials help to reduce porosity as they absorb less water compared to traditional cementitious materials. The presence of nanomaterials reduces the amount of cement content in concrete than the conventional concrete. This can be achieved without sacrificing strength characteristics. This work reviews the influence of nano particles on the properties of OPC pastes.
