Derivative spectrophotometry was developed for the spectrophotometric determination of multi-component analysis of Amlodipine (AML) and Valsartan (VAL) in Pharmaceutical-Commercial Sample without any chemical separation. The method was applied based on first-derivative spectroscopy (FDS) and zero crossing point for quantitative evaluation of AML and VAL. Because the spectra of these component strongly overlapped and the determination without initial separation is not possible. Limits of detection for AML and VAL were 1.00 and 2×10-3 mg/mL, respectively. Additionally recovery percentage for AML and VAL were calculated about 96.67 and 96.78, respectively. The proposed method was validated by using synthetic binary mixtures and applied to the simultaneous determination of AML and VAL in commercial-pharmaceutical sample. The obtained results were compared with HPLC method; in general, the method gave rise to similar recovery results for laboratory-prepared mixtures and real samples
