چکیده مقاله:
As C2H6 forms a maximum pressure azeotrope with carbon dioxide, the removal of carbon dioxide from CO2/C2H6 gas mixture hindered if distillation is used. membrane separation is one of the cost-effective method which can recover ethane from carbon dioxide. The rubbery fully amorph cross-linked polymer, prepared by photopolymerization of poly (ethylene glycol) diacrylate; PEGDA. this polymer has affinity to CO2, due to the favorable dipole-quadrupole interaction of CO2 with polar groups of cross-linked poly (ethylene glycol) diacrylate; XLPEGDA. In this study; nanocomposite membrane prepared with inorganic zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles to investigate the effect of ZnO nanoparticles on the gas transport properties of CO2/C2H6 separation performance of XLPEGDA membrane. CO2 permeability and CO2/C2H6 selectivity improved with increasing ZnO nanoparticles. The optimum membrane prepared at 4.5 wt. % ZnO loading
