چکیده مقاله:
The high number of nodes is one of the significant problems in Vehicular Ad-Hoc network. This makes to increase the number of transmitted packets in the network. The distributed property and high mobility of the nodes are the other most important attributes of this network. We therefore need to cluster groups of vehicles. Applying clustering in VANET is always confronted with challenging problems due to rapidly changing network topology which causes increasing error rates and expanding overhead in them. Most clustering models do not manage the overlap of vehicles and cannot coordinate with the high mobility of numerous vehicles in Highways. The instability of clusters is another important challenge. In this paper, we proposed a new Holonic model for clustering that can improve the stability of clusters and tries to reduce changing behavior of cluster heads. Holonic model is a kind of clustering to group nodes into logically separated entities called Holons. Holon can simplify essential function as routing, bandwidth allocation, and the channel access. We simulated our model in the Highway environment and compared our results with 3 different algorithms
