چکیده مقاله:

Development and underdevelopment1 are among the most important challenges and concerns of social sciences scholars and governments in developing countries. This study is an effort for naming roles and tasks of governments in economic progress and development of their countries, which first we will have a brief review of different economic schools concerning the size of the government and the amount of government involvement in economic affairs. Each government follows different doctrines and strategies which will be pointed out in later sections with consideration to its purposes. Considering that Iran is an Islamic country, the government tasks are explained in the perspective of the constitution of Islamic Republic of Iran. It is necessary to mention that in Iran, most economic activities are conducted by the governmental section.
