چکیده مقاله:
In this investigation a novel diamine has been synthesized via the reaction of 1-naphthaldehyde with 4-nitroacetophenone in the presence of acetic acid as a solvent and ammonium acetate followed by its reduction using SnCl /HCl/EtOH system. The polymerization of diamine monomer with several aromatic diacid, was carried out in N-methyl- -pyrrolidine, triphenylphosphite, pyridine, calcium chloride as a condensing agent. The resulting polyamide (PA)s were characterized by FT-IR, H-NMR, TGA and SEM spectroscopy. Because of the existence of naphtyl pendent group, the polymers show good solubility in polar aprotic solvents such as N-methyl- -pyrrolidine, N,N-dimethylformamide, N,N-dimethyl acetamide, dimethyl sulfoxide and these polymers exhibit photo activity. In addition the TGA results confirms excellent thermal stability the resulting polymers.
