The performance of spectral element for the simulation of viscoplastic fluid flow is investigated in this paper. The channel flow of a regularized Bingham fluid is chosen as the test case. The velocity correction scheme is used as the splitting method to decouple the system of equations and a numerical code is developed to model non-Newtonian behavior. According to the developed flow considerations an analytical equation is derived for this fluid and is solved numerically through a brief code in Wolfram Mathematica 6.0. An acceptable agreement between these two cases is shown. Velocity contour and pressure gradient along the channel are also shown in this study.
