E-mail Spam Detection using Combination of GA-AIS Algorithm and Classification using SVM

Internet has significantly changed relation with others. E-mail is one of the services that Internet has provided it for its users. This service has attracted the attention of many users due to its low cost. In addition to its many E-mail advantages, one weakness of this service is that the number of received E-mails is increased constantly that these unwanted E-mails are called as spam. Several smart solutions have been provided for spam detection. In this paper, a hybrid of evolutionary genetic algorithm and artificial immune system is proposed that is responsible for selecting the best features of standard input of data collection. A standard method was used in the proposed system to measure the accuracy rate and error and results were tested on standard data sets of Spam Assassin. Finally, the results of several other algorithms, applied to the data, were compared with the outcomes obtained. Experimental results showed that Proposed Method beside high speed of Convergence in features extraction has acceptable accuracy about is 98%.
