چکیده مقاله:

In this study magnetic nanoparticles have been synthesized by co-precipitation method. Fe3O4 supported activated carbon is used for the removal copper ions in aqueous solution. The effect of parameters such as pH, adsorbent dosage and initial concentration Cu (II) on the removal process are investigated. For equilibrium studies, three isotherm models, namely Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin are used. It is found that Temkin is fitted very well with the experimental data. In the kinetics studies, pseudo-first order and pseudo-second order model are tested. The pseudo-first order equation provides the best correlation with the obtained data. Optimum conditions for Cu (II) ions in aqueous solution removal were found to be pH of 7, adsorbent dosage 0.1g and initial concentration Cu (II) 10 mgL-1.
