چکیده مقاله:

As wind is considered as an environmental-friendly energy source to produce power electricity, its usage is increasing over time. The impact of wing generation system on power system operation is very important, since more and more wind turbine generators are being used. Wind generators will both affect the economic dispatch of a power system and transmission losses based on wind generators locations and speed. Optimal power flow (OPF) is a means of evaluating power system operation. To solve the OPFproblem, evolutionary particle swarm optimization (EPSO) is proposed and the proposed model considers both up and down spinning reserves (USR and DSR), as well as equality and inequality constraints. This study investigates the effects of wind generation system, transformer tap settings and shunt capacitors on transmission losses and fuel costs. The proposed method is implemented on modified IEEE 30 bus test system, and results approve the validity and effectiveness of the proposed method.
