چکیده مقاله:

Epidemiologic studies in worldwide havemeasured increases in mortality and morbidityassociated with air pollution (1-3). Quantifyingthe effects of air pollution on the human healthin urban area causes an increasingly criticalcomponent in policy discussion (4-6). Air Qmodel was proved to be a valid and reliable toolto predicts health effects related to criteriapollutants (particulate matter (PM), ozone (O3),nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2),and carbon monoxide (CO)), determinate thepotential short term effects of air pollution andallows the examination of various scenarios inwhich emission rates of pollutants are varied(7,8). Air Q software provided by the WHOEuropean Centre for Environment and Health(ECEH) (9). Air Q model is based on cohortstudies and used to estimates of bothattributable average reductions in life-span andnumbers of mortality and morbidity associatedwith exposure to air pollution (10,11).
