چکیده مقاله:
In this paper for the first time, the generally valid intrinsic formulae are derived for the rate of isotropic tensor valued functions in the cases of non-distinct or coalescent eigenvalues of the argument tensor. The Hill's class of strains is one of the important kinematic tensor quantities in the nonlinear continuum mechanics. As an application of the derived results, the intrinsic formulae for the rate of Hill's strains in any cases of non-distinct principal stretches are obtained directly without imposing any excess differentiability conditions on the scale function of the strains
