Hypnosis and Ericksonian Communication Techniques in Dentistry

Hypnosis, is a phenomenon that starts with communication, continues with interaction, and ends with differences between hypnotist or hypnotic system with subject or subjects.Throughout the history of hypnosis, different definitions have beenproposed for hypnosis. Due to the great contributions of Milton Erickson, hypnosis has become very effective and fast applied for clinical use.Indirect suggestion, utilizing, reframing, diversion, ratification, using ide motor signals of subject, pacing and leading, seeding, creating expectation, and using metaphor are some of the most known Ericksonian techniques .Fundamentals, application procedures, alternatives, clinical aspects of hypnosis have been deeply discussed. This workshop is carried out to demonstrate the efficacy of the technics and combine approaches of using hypnosis, alongside classic hypnosis in dentistry is suggested.
