COMPARISON OF NEGATIVE SELF-EFFICACY IN DRUG ADDICTED ADOLESCENT AND NICOTINE ADDICTED ADOLESCENTS

Background and Aim : One of the hallmarks of schizophrenia is the lack of thinking ability, weak affection, unconscious behavior, and inability to understand reality. Emotional insufficiency, which is difficult to self-regulate emotionally, is in fact an inability to cognitive processing, emotional information and emotion regulation, and the main characteristics of emotional deficits are: the inability to identify emotions and feelings in describing emotions, the extreme poverty of symbolic thinking, the difficulty in distinguishing between Emotional states and body feelings, formal and formal appearance, lack of facial expressions, limited capacity for empathy and self-consciousness. Aim of this study was compare the emotional deficits in women and men with substance-induced psychosis. Methods : This descriptive and comparative study was performed on a sample of 30 drug substance-induced psychosis patients in Tehran s Razi Hospital, which was selected through targeted sampling (15 women, 15 males). The subjects were asked to complete the Persian version of the Toronto Emotional Disability Scale (FTAS-20). To analyze the research data, indicators and statistical methods including frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Independent T-test in SPSS software was used.Results : The results showed that emotional deficits were significantly different in women with psychosis due to emotional deficits in pediatric patients with substance-induced psychosis. Women with psychosis suffered from emotional deficits more than men.Conclusion : The interpretation of this result means that women with substance-induced psychosis need more interventions to solve emotional problems. Therefore, by performing appropriate interventions to increase the emotional excitement, especially in women, can increase the function of patients with substance-induced psychosis.
