The performance of engine oil and nano-additives

The present study has been done on some additives and their effects on the performance of engine oil. The role of lubricants in moving parts contains decreasing wear and friction, as well as preventing rust formation, coolant and cleansing. It reviews the usage of a nano-fluid prepared with engine oil. The thermo-physical and lubrication properties of nano-lubricants were discussed. Moreover, the effect of soot and fuel on the contamination of engine oil was investigated. The result of this study could be suitable for the formulation and the pre-selection of engine oils.
