This study aims to explore the facilitative effect of task repetition on developing the accuracy of using English verbalmorphemes. The focus of the previous task repetition studies have been primarily on investigating the effect of the sametask repetition on accuracy, fluency and complexity of language production. It was paid little attention to whetherdifferent characteristics of task repetition have any effect on focusing the learners’ attention on specific form in order toimprove the grammatical accuracy. 54 students were randomly selected according to a proficiency test and equallydivided into two experimental groups and one control group. All of them were administrated a pretest and posttest. Theexperimental groups were assigned to one of the same task repetition or content repetition group. The major findingsindicated that (a) both type of task repetition were beneficial to improve the grammatical accuracy, (b) indicated thatboth type of task repetition were beneficial to improve the grammatical accuracy. There was not any significantdifference between the effects of types of task repetition on the students’ performances. Considering the above findings,further support was found for the effect of different task repetition on L2 learning. The findings contribute to theresearch that has examined the relation between type of task repetition and grammatical improvement to promotelearning.
