چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: The Nursing Information System (NIS) is a part of the Health Care Information System (HIS) designed to help nurses provide better patient care, which deals with nursing aspects, especially nursing documentation. This system's performance is directly related to the performance of nurses, and since 15% of nurses 'time is devoted directly to patient care and more than 50% of nurses' time is spent managing patient data, the proper functioning of this system improves integration. Clinical data improves the quality of nursing care and meets their needs. This system faces barriers and challenges that have been examined using evaluation, identification of challenges, and barriers. Hence, NIS evaluation includes a kind of evaluation of nurses' performance. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the evaluation methods for NIS.Methods: This research is an applied study that was conducted systematically in 1399. Using the keywords Nursing Information System, Health Information System, and Evaluation Method, 34 articles were found in Scopus, Pubmed, SID, and Google Scholar databases, including 24 articles published from reputable journals between 1993 and 2020. The criteria for selecting articles were HIS and NIS evaluation. Evaluation of other subsystems has been removed from the articles. Results: A review of 24 cases showed that in general, the types of methods used for NIS evaluation are classified into eight general categories, which are HOT_fit, a combination of HOT_fit and TOE, user-based methods and inspection-based Based on Expert (TA) and (HE), successful DMISM, McLean, Delone, and Heuristic models. Among these articles, the most used method was HOT_fit.Conclusion: The results of this study, while clarifying the types of evaluation methods for NIS, help us to select a suitable evaluation method based on the type of NIS and the hospital's expertise. The NIS assessment helps assess the quality of nursing care and their needs in the hospital. Indeed, a quality NIS can reflect the high quality of nursing care.
