چکیده مقاله:
Smart tourism has been one of the critical topics, which demands consideration particularly in developing countries. Similar to other businesses, information and communication technology has made it necessary to shift from traditional to smart tourism. Regarding the theoretical principles of the present study, digital transformation and smart city were assumed to be factors influencing smart tourism. The statistical population of the study included the tourists of touristy complexes and hotels. The sample size was ۱۲۰. Data were analyzed through structural equation modeling. Findings revealed the favorable contribution of digital transformation and the moderate level of smart city and smart tourism. The RMSEA index was ۰.۰۷۹, and the values of the other indices and comparing it with the acceptable range indicated the model validation. Given that digital transformation necessitates smart tourism development, the hypothesis of the study was rejected. However, creating a smart city was assumed to be necessary for developing smart tourism and the relationship between digital transformation and smart city was confirmed
